ABSTRACT
Se presenta el caso de una paciente de 36 años, portadora de lupus eritematoso sistémico (LES) e hipertensión arterial, que acude a la consulta por cuadro de dolor abdominal agudo relacionado a la ingesta de alimentos. Se concluye el diagnóstico de pancreatitis aguda y se descartan causas comunes. En determinación de marcadores de autoinmunidad se constata hipocomplementemia, ANA 1:160 y anti DNA positivo, catalogándose cuadro como reactivación de LES. Recibe tratamiento esteroideo a altas dosis, con buena respuesta.
This is the case of a 36-year- old female patient who has systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and arterial hypertension and attended medical consultation for symptoms of acute abdominal pain related to food intake. A diagnosis of acute pancreatitis is made and commons causes are discarded. In the determination of autoimmunity markers, hypocomplementemia, ANA 1:160 and positive anti DNA are found, qualifying this case as a reactivation of SLE. The patient receives treatment with high doses of steroids with good response.

Presentamos el caso de una mujer de 41 años, asmática, que ingresó al Servicio de Urgencias con una historia de dificultad respiratoria y tos, al examen se constata matidez del hemitórax derecho. Analítica en sangre dentro de los parámetros normales. En radiografía y tomografía de tórax se observa un gran tumor en hemitórax derecho de 20 por 20 cm con efecto de masa. La paciente fue sometida a toracotomía exploradora, realizándose extirpación completa del tumor, con buena evolución postoperatoria. Anatomía patológica confirma tumor fusocelular.
We present the case of a 41-year old asthmatic woman that was admitted to the Urgency Service with a history of respiratory difficulty and cough. At the clinical exam, dullness of the right hemithorax was found. Blood analytics was within normal parameters. Chest X-ray and thorax tomography showed a large 20 x 20 cm tumor in the right hemithorax with mass effect. The patient was subjected to exploratory thoracotomy with full extirpation of the tumor with a good post-operatory evolution. The pathologic anatomy confirmed a fusocellular tumour.
